Tractor pulling is often described as a simple contest of horsepower: attach a sled, open the throttle and see which machine travels furthest. That picture misses the engineering, driving skill, rulebook decisions and careful preparation behind every pass. The sport combines agricultural machinery with specialised competition technology, creating a spectacle that is loud, technical and surprisingly strategic.

For Australian spectators, the format can seem unfamiliar because local events may feature modified farm tractors, trucks, four-wheel-drive machines or classes shaped by regional conditions.
